You have probably heard a lot of things said about ‘digital hearing aids’ and how they have revolutionised help for those with hearing loss. Well quite simply, on the whole, it’s completely true. The digital hearing aid is just like a computer, in fact it is a computer. It is programmed by your audiologist to amplify sound in exactly the way you need it amplified. So quite sounds can be heard but loud sounds are never too loud. This is possible because of the amazing digital sound processor inside the aid.
